UKS2 Teacher | Dagenham
A strong primary school in Dagenham is looking for an ambitious UKS2 Teacher to join the upper Key Stage 2 team from January 2026. The UKS2 Teacher will deliver sequenced curriculum units across Years 5 and 6, lead interventions that close gaps and prepare pupils for smooth transition, and contribute to phase leadership and moderation. This UKS2 Teacher post begins January 2026, with induction and planning time scheduled before January 2026 so the appointed teacher can be classroom-ready.

The UKS2 Teacher will support whole-school priorities, contribute to enrichment activities and work with families to maximise progress. Working in Dagenham, the UKS2 Teacher will have mentoring and CPD opportunities to develop further as a practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach sequenced UKS2 lessons that promote mastery, reasoning and independence.
- Use assessment data to target teaching and to run high-impact small-group support.
- Lead interventions and monitor their effectiveness, adapting provision to secure progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum mapping, moderation and cross-phase projects in Dagenham.
- Communicate progress to parents and support transition arrangements.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with proven Upper KS2 experience and flexibility to teach across Years 5–6.
- Strong subject knowledge, effective planning and excellent classroom presence.
- Reflective, collaborative and committed to the Dagenham school community.
- Available to commence January 2026 and to attend pre-term induction before January 2026.
