SEN 121 Support Assistant

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to join a dedicated Primary SEN school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in education or special needs support, as no previous experience is required – just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as SEN 121 Support Assistant:

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, helping them to access learning and daily activities.

• Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to adapt resources and approaches.

• Encourage the child’s independence, social interaction and confidence.

• Support with personal care and emotional regulation when required.

• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Ideal SEN 121 Support Assistant:

• No prior school experience is needed – full training will be given.

• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN 121 Support Assistant.

• A genuine interest in working with children with Special Educational Needs.

• Commitment to learning new skills and taking guidance from experienced staff.
