Editor and Content Creator
About Thatsup
Thatsup is the leading city guide in Sweden, with a strong and established position as the country’s largest platform for discovering restaurants, culture, entertainment and experiences. London is the first step in our international expansion and is currently in a scaling phase. The proof of concept is in place, and we already work with well-known brands such as Sael, Novikov and Jamie Oliver. We are building Thatsup London into the city’s go-to guide – based on first-hand insights, strong editorial judgement and a clear tone of voice.
The role
We are looking for a Content Creator to join our London team. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves being out in the city as much as producing content about it. You will produce high-quality editorial content, meet restaurants and businesses in person, conduct interviews, and turn real-world experiences into engaging articles, guides and social content.
In addition to editorial production, part of the role includes strengthening our social media presence and supporting community-building initiatives in London.
You will work closely with our Country Manager and the Editor in Chief and collaborate with the wider marketing team, playing a key role in shaping and strengthening Thatsup’s presence in London.
What you’ll do
• Write accurate articles and guides covering restaurants, culture, entertainment, beauty and lifestyle
• Create and maintain accurate profiles for restaurants, cafés, other businesses and industry figures
• Visit restaurants, attend events, and produce content for Thatsup’s social media channels
• Write marketing and editorial copy for partners and advertisers
• Meet business owners and teams and conduct interviews
• Keep guides and articles updated through continuous content updates
• Research, fact-check and ensure high accuracy across all published content
• Ensure all content follows Thatsup’s tone of voice and editorial guidelines
• Stay on top of trends within food, culture, entertainment and lifestyle
• Occasionally attend press events and industry gatherings, representing Thatsup externally
• Contribute ideas to grow engagement, audience reach and brand visibility in London
Who you are
• Strong editorial eye
• Fluent English, both written and verbal
• Confident creating both written and visual content for digital and social platforms
• Curious, proactive and comfortable working independently
• Confident meeting people, conducting interviews and representing Thatsup externally
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Passionate about restaurants, city life and discovering new places
• Comfortable working primarily from our London office
What we offer
• A central London office (WeWork)
• A key role with real influence on our London content and brand presence
• The opportunity to shape a growing international city guide
• A collaborative team environment with high editorial ambition
• The chance to work closely with the restaurant and hospitality industry
• Competitive salary, clear contract terms and benefits package
• Defined role structure with opportunities for progression and professional development
