Drama Teacher - Camden Independent School
The school is seeking a dynamic Drama Teacher for a permanent, full-time role at a flourishing Independent School in Camden, commencing in January 2026. The role involves teaching practical and theoretical Drama, supporting productions, and developing student talent.
The school is committed to excellence in the Performing Arts, utilising its central London location to enrich the curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging practical and theoretical Drama lessons across all key stages, up to A-Level.
- Direct and organise major school productions and performances throughout the year.
- Develop students’ confidence, performance skills, and understanding of theatre history and context.
- Track and evaluate student performance diligently, providing precise, constructive feedback.
- Utilise the school’s specialist performance spaces and studios effectively.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree specialism in Drama or Theatre Arts.
- Proven experience teaching and directing Drama at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of theatrical history, dramatic theory, and technical production.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing productions and engaging students.
- A commitment to excellence in the Performing Arts.
