An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join one of London's leading specialist teams operating across interactive entertainment, gaming, digital media, technology and the creative industries .


The team acts for an impressive mix of established international businesses, developers, publishers, studios, platforms, rights holders, content creators and emerging companies operating at the forefront of the digital and creative economy.


This is a particularly strong opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys commercial contracts and intellectual property , but wants their practice to sit much closer to the media, entertainment, gaming and technology sectors.


The work
The successful Associate will advise on a broad range of commercial and IP matters, potentially including:

• Game development and publishing agreements
• Commercial exploitation and licensing of intellectual property
• Software, technology and digital-content agreements
• Development, production and services agreements
• Distribution and digital exploitation arrangements
• Brand, talent, sponsorship and partnership agreements
• Interactive entertainment and digital media projects
• Esports and wider gaming-related commercial matters
• Emerging technologies, including AI and new forms of interactive content
• IP protection, ownership and commercialisation
• Supporting clients through the development, financing, launch and exploitation of creative products

The practice operates at the intersection of IP, commercial contracts, technology and entertainment , meaning Associates gain exposure to work that can be difficult to access within a broader commercial or corporate-support practice.



The candidate
We are particularly interested in speaking with lawyers around 2-4 PQE , although strong candidates from approximately 1-5 PQE will be considered.
You are likely to have experience within one or more of:

• Commercial IP
• Media & entertainment
• Gaming / interactive entertainment
• Technology
• Digital media
• Advertising / creative industries
• Software and technology contracts

Lawyers with strong commercial/IP foundations and a genuine interest in the sector are encouraged to apply.


The key requirement is an ability to draft and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements alongside a genuine interest in how intellectual property, technology and content are developed and monetised.
