Alongside their residential homes, they also manage an important commercial property portfolio that helps them to sustain their long-term mission.
As they plan for Board succession, they're seeking a new Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee to help guide them through a period of strategic change and opportunity. This is a critical leadership role for someone who brings strong financial acumen, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to good governance. You'll work closely with the Board and Executive Team to ensure robust oversight of their financial health, risk management, and internal controls.Job Description
As Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee, you will:
- Lead the Committee in overseeing financial reporting, audit processes, and risk management
- Provide assurance on the integrity of financial information and internal controls
- Support the Board in maintaining regulatory compliance and financial resilience
- Help shape risk appetite and ensure effective mitigation strategies
- Bring an independent, analytical perspective to complex decisions
- Champion transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
The Successful Applicant
We're looking for someone who:
- Has senior-level experience in finance, audit, or risk (e.g. as a CFO, auditor, or NED)
- Understands the regulatory and operational context of housing or similar sectors
- Able to communicate complex financial matters clearly and constructively
- Shares our values of inclusion, community, and integrity
- Committed to high-quality governance and resident-focused outcomes
