Women's / Men's Fashion Design Research Assistant

Join Jens Laugesen Design, an award-winning designer in his design agency, who advises international brands on brand research, design, development, and strategy. With over 20 years of global experience, Jens combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge digital technologies, including AI, to create unique fashion concepts that push the boundaries of conventional design. His creative approach explores the integration of AI design tools and digital fashion to blend art, technology, and fashion into immersive phygital new forms.

As the right-hand designer/studio manager, will support the Creative Director on the development of RE/JEKT PROJECT, a design-led fashion brand preparing for presentation at Copenhagen and Paris Fashion Week 2026.

RE/JEKT combines Nordic design thinking with Indian craftsmanship, transforming unused industrial materials into contemporary garments through a circular design approach. The studio works across physical and digital design, combining traditional craftsmanship with emerging technologies, including AI.

Jens Laugesen is an award-winning Danish fashion designer and Creative Director with over 20 years of international experience across fashion, art and design. He has presented collections at London Fashion Week, received awards including ANDAM and BFC NEWGEN, and worked with global brands like Calvin Klein, J Mendel, Swarovski and institutions.

The role is hybrid, with a minimum of 1-2 days/week in the studio, with the possibility of working independently from home for some days.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the creative director in research, design, mood boards, and presentation.
• Technical drawings, preparing tech packs for new startup brand to debut in 2026
• Develop fabrication mockup and creative tiles, and help document fittings
• Exploring new design concepts using tools like Clo3D Style3D, MidJourney and Newark AI
• Collaborate on the creative and technical development of the design concept for clients.

Who We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year of professional fashion studio design experience
• Good conceptual research and communication skills
• A talented graduate, interested in conceptual digital concepts and research in AI design.
• Creative, tech-savvy, and willing to explore new and experimental design methodologies.
• A collaborative mindset with excellent research skills and the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for conceptual digital fashion.
• Interested in developing new trends and ideas into commercial brand concepts.
• Good technical drawings in Adobe Illustrator, filmediting
• Design skill, tech pack in Google Docs, working in Google Sheets for all follow-up, Excel
• Experience with AI design tools.
