Pastry Commis

The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pastry Commis to join our talented Kitchen Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about baking, pastry, desserts, and hospitality who is eager to begin a professional career in pâtisserie. As a Pastry Commis, you will work alongside experienced pastry chefs, gaining hands-on experience in pastry production, baking techniques, chocolate work, dessert preparation, food safety standards, and kitchen operations while working towards your professional development goals.

What We're Looking For

The ideal Pastry Commis will have:

A genuine passion for pastry, baking, desserts, and hospitality.

• A strong desire to learn professional pâtisserie techniques and pastry production.
• Creativity and an eye for detail in food presentation.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced pastry chefs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
• A commitment to food safety, hygiene, and quality.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Previous kitchen, bakery, or pastry experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
