Legal Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a Legal Engineer to join our growing team, combining legal expertise with technology and AI to help transform the way legal services are delivered.
In this role, you will work closely with law firms and corporate legal departments to understand their existing workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement AI-powered solutions that increase efficiency and productivity. Acting as the link between legal professionals and technology, you'll collaborate with Customer Success and Account Management teams to deliver practical, measurable outcomes.
You will engage with senior stakeholders—including Partners, General Counsel, Legal Operations, Innovation, Knowledge Management, and Technology teams—to solve complex business challenges through legal technology.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate discovery workshops to analyse current legal workflows, identify challenges, and uncover opportunities for AI-driven improvements.
Design, configure, and implement AI-enabled workflows that align with each customer's operational and business goals.
Deliver onboarding, training, and adoption programs tailored to different legal teams and practice areas.
Partner with Customer Success to integrate new workflows into everyday legal practice and encourage long-term adoption.
Monitor customer engagement and proactively identify opportunities to increase usage and maximise value.
Demonstrate measurable outcomes such as improved efficiency, consistency, quality, and reduced risk.
Gather customer feedback, identify product enhancement opportunities, and communicate insights to Product and Engineering teams.
Develop and share best practices and reusable workflow solutions across customers and internal teams.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong legal experience with an interest in technology and innovation.
You'll ideally have:
Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales with approximately three or more years of post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or large in-house legal team.
Experience working with complex legal workflows across transactional, contentious, or advisory matters.
Excellent consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior legal professionals.
A genuine passion for legal technology, AI, and transforming legal service delivery.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and change management skills, with the ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders.
What Success Looks Like
Successful Legal Engineers become trusted advisors to their customers by helping them redesign legal workflows using AI and technology. They drive meaningful adoption, deliver measurable business improvements, build lasting relationships with senior stakeholders, and provide valuable customer insights that influence future product development.
Flexible Working
We believe flexibility supports both personal wellbeing and professional success. We offer a range of benefits, including wellbeing initiatives, shared parental leave, study assistance, sabbaticals, and flexible working arrangements that allow you to work when you're most productive.
