Talent Engineer
We pull medical technology from the future to solve human health.
Scarlet is authorised to assess and certify medical devices. We combine clinical, technical and regulatory expertise with AI agents and software so rigorous certification can keep pace with product development at the world’s most ambitious technology companies, without lowering the safety bar.
Our customers have cut a year or more from their certification timelines for new AI-enabled medical devices and shortened product-update cycles from months to weeks. You’ll join a team building the infrastructure that makes these outcomes repeatable at scale.
About the role
As Scarlet’s first and only Talent Engineer, you will deliver qualified candidates our hiring managers are excited to meet. You’ll orchestrate agents to find, qualify and engage candidates across our technical, clinical, regulatory and commercial roles, using Codex, Claude and/or whatever other tools you choose.
Responsibilities
Orchestrate agents to identify and qualify promising people beyond obvious job titles and familiar companies, including those who are not actively looking.
Exercise judgment to decide if, when and how to engage with candidates personally to complete qualification before handing them over to a hiring manager.
Own the quality of every message your agents send. Keep outreach relevant, accurate and worth replying to.
Measure which approaches produce candidates hiring managers choose to progress and use your results to rigorously test and improve your approach.
Required qualifications
Strong analytical background. A degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or another analytically demanding subject, or comparable achievement through technical work, research or independent projects.
Evidence of solving difficult problems independently. You can explain an unfamiliar problem you tackled, how you broke it down, the decisions you made and the result you achieved.
Evidence of building processes that scale. You’ve turned a recurring problem into a repeatable process that handles growing volume without sacrificing quality or requiring a proportional increase in manual work.
Examples of clear, effective professional writing, including work produced by agents that you reviewed and improved.
Preferred qualifications
Experience representing an organisation professionally in conversations with candidates, prospects, customers or other external contacts.
Interview process
Screening call with Jamie (15 minutes).
Interview with Aryan (30 minutes). Bring a messy problem you solved and walk through how you solved it with your agents.
Interview with Marco (30 minutes). Problem-solving interview. No preparation required; come caffeinated.
Interview with James Allgrove (30 minutes). How you’d work with hiring managers and teams to target the best candidates.
Interview with James (30 minutes). Values and working style interview.
Cheat code: We’ll assess the quality of your questions in every interview. Research what Scarlet does and think carefully about what you want to understand about us.
