About the Team
You will be working within the Digital, Data and Technology team where we have market-leading, collaborative and high performing Digital and Technology specialists operating predominantly within regulated industries, particularly major Infrastructure, Highways, Rail, Aviation and Energy.
Our work spans projects that cover everything from enterprise level solutions for critical national infrastructure to rapid R&D prototyping across multiple domains. We regularly solve problems involving the ingestion, storage, and processing of data at scale, both in real-time and batch. On top of this we design and implement APIs and UIs that deliver insights through engaging website and mobile user interfaces.
We focus on delivering excellence in our outcomes, underpinned by class-leading data analytics, AI and technology, helping organisations make informed decisions about managing their infrastructure assets. We embed ourselves with the client to improve their processes, systems, and data, and maintain these relationships after we leave.
What you’ll be doing
You will be involved in working on a range of projects throughout the lifecycle, from shaping methodologies, reviewing and responding to tenders, software engineering and testing new digital technologies. You will work alongside an experienced pool of other specialists including software developers, solution architects, product owners, project managers, business analysts, data scientists and AI experts, among others.
- Working as a software developer from data engineering to front-end UI within agile teams developing new solutions and extending existing products.
- Maintaining an awareness of emerging technologies and innovations within the data monitoring and geospatial industries.
- Working with clients and stakeholders to shape digital requirements within wider infrastructure projects.
- Working on established projects, contributing to the robust implementation of a proven solution to enter production for everyday use.
- Implementing bespoke enhancements for client solution in specialist application areas including remote condition monitoring, geomatics & remote sensors, unmanned aerial vehicles, light detection & ranging, global positioning systems, global satellite systems and interferometric synthetic aperture radar.
- Providing active support to work winning, developing commercial propositions and methodological approaches for projects.
- Championing new data and technology solutions in the infrastructure sector by contributing to publications, conferences and industry engagement.

Amey Consulting are looking for individuals who demonstrate clear communication, strong teamwork, and a genuine eagerness to learn. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, and proactive in their approach, showing professionalism and integrity in everything, they do. To be considered for the programme we require the following.
- Minimum 2:1 Degree in with a degree in a highly quantitative STEM area discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science).
- A-levels including minimum A or equivalent in Mathematics.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy working in a team environment, sharing ideas, and collaborating with colleagues.
- Confidence to work under pressure, and the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
