Senior Payroll Specialist

We are currently looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist – UK (P4) to join our People Services team. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of employee pay, tax filings, and benefits. You will also manage payroll records, support audits, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to continuously improve payroll processes. Your role will encompass:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including regular payroll cycles, off-cycle adjustments, and terminations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including salary changes, deductions, tax information, and benefits, in alignment with policy and legal requirements
- Support year-end payroll activities such as tax form issuance, reconciliations, and statutory filings
- Perform detailed payroll reconciliations and prepare reports to support internal audits, financial reviews, and regulatory inspections
- Ensure payroll operations remain compliant with applicable labor laws, tax codes, and internal company policies, both locally and internationally
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers through a ticketing system, ensuring timely, clear, and professional resolutions
- Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to align on payroll inputs, reporting requirements, and to drive continuous process improvements
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and statutory contributions in accordance with country-specific regulations and deadlines
- Contribute to payroll system upgrades, configuration, user testing, and optimization to enhance process accuracy and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of progressive experience in payroll processing, with a focus on compliance and operational excellence
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, and tax regulations (local and international)
- Proficiency with payroll software and data management tools; experience with large-scale payroll platforms is a plus
- Proven ability to support audits, perform reconciliations, and deliver accurate reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
