The successful candidate will take responsibility for the accurate billing, collection, and recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates, Adult Social Care debt, Parking and Road Traffic charges, Sundry Debt, and Housing Benefit overpayments.
They will identify liable parties, assess entitlement to discounts, exemptions, reductions, and refunds, and maintain precise billing and invoicing records across all revenue streams.
They will provide clear, high‑quality responses to customer and stakeholder enquiries, ensuring debts progress through the appropriate recovery processes to maximise collection and minimise arrears, while balancing fairness to individuals with the organisation’s financial interests. All duties will be carried out in line with relevant legislation, case law, policies, and procedures to deliver efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused services
