ASAP Start
You will teach Science across KS3 and specialise in Chemistry at KS4. The successful teacher will be responsible for planning lessons that develop students' understanding of chemical principles while also preparing GCSE students for their examinations.
Students will study areas including atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, quantitative chemistry, energy changes and the Earth's resources. You will use demonstrations, practical investigations and problem-solving activities to reinforce the theory covered in lessons.
Assessment will be an important part of the position. You will track progress, identify misconceptions and provide targeted support where students need additional guidance. The ability to work collaboratively with other Science teachers will also be essential.

Chemistry Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Chemistry Degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Strong Chemistry subject knowledge
Ability to teach KS3 Science and KS4 Chemistry
GCSE Chemistry experience
Confidence delivering practical investigations
Strong classroom management
Excellent planning and assessment skills
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Commitment to student progress
Salary
The salary for this Chemistry Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
