About the Role
As a 1:1 Support Worker , you’ll provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop independence. You’ll be working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised 1:1 support to a student throughout the school day.
- Build positive, nurturing relationships to encourage learning and development.
- Adapt activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs, including sensory and communication support.
- Encourage social interaction and independence in both learning and play.
- Work closely with teachers and professionals to monitor progress and support EHCP goals.
The Ideal Candidate
- A graduate or someone with relevant experience in SEN, psychology, or education.
- Calm, patient, and adaptable with strong communication skills.
- Passionate about supporting children with autism, SEMH, or other additional needs .
- A team player with the resilience and empathy to provide consistent support.
