Plant Technician (Night shift)

We produce lightweight foams for a wide range of markets including sports and leisure, aviation, automotive, and healthcare. Zotefoams also owns and licenses patented technology and supplies advanced insulation systems.

About the Role:
As a Plant Technician at our Croydon site, you will help maintain unique industrial plastic foam manufacturing equipment, including steam boilers, thermal oil heaters, high-pressure compressors, extrusion lines, and associated systems. Your work keeps our plant safe, reliable, and continuously improving.
Role Responsibilities:
- Inspect plant and equipment routinely, identify and correct deficiencies, and escalate issues where needed.
- Record accurate, detailed reports for all work in our computerised system.
- Deliver planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
- Lead and support process improvements, developing new ideas and solutions.
- Report and control Health and Safety risks and promote safe practices across the site.
What you'll need:
- Mechanical or Electrical qualification (Level 3 or above).
- At least 5 years’ industrial or practical experience.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Understanding of SCADA or automated systems.
- Experience with electrical fault finding, problem analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Maintenance experience, ideally using a CMMS.
