The Role:  Product Manager - Search
Location: London office / Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

Joining the Search Team in Rightmove, you’ll make this mission possible by giving consumers confidence to make their move through best-in-class property search capabilities.

This team looks after our flagship consumer experience, Search, and forms a fundamental part of why consumers love our brand. We want to keep building on these fundamentals and also make sure that we move with consumer behaviour in property search by being on the forefront of innovation. The Product Development team at Rightmove plays a pivotal role in delivering the overall consumer and customer digital experience underpinning the Rightmove business. We recognise that to deliver the best products and features for our customers and consumers we need to work together effectively as a healthy, high performing team. We work collaboratively across a mix of product and centralised teams, together working towards Rightmove’s strategy. The Product Manager role reports into a Senior Product Manager in our Consumer Domain, responsible for our Explore & Find pillars. This is a key role managing our core proposition, search, which is central to the business. The successful individual will need to be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Own and optimise the Search experience, defining requirements and owning delivery of product initiatives.
• Lead product discovery with Product Design, Research and Engineering to identify problems, explore solutions and validate opportunities.
• Define requirements and own delivery of product initiatives, working with Engineering and technical teams to understand constraints, options and trade-offs.
• Use customer insight, research, data and industry trends to identify opportunities and improve the consumer experience.
• Maintain and prioritise the product backlog, balancing customer and business needs with wider domain priorities.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across teams, identifying and progressing opportunities across the core search experience.
• Work with the Senior Product Manager and Head of Product to shape Search strategy, vision and objectives, using clear analysis and insight to inform decisions.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience leading a high-traffic consumer-facing product, ideally Search or a comparable e-commerce, marketplace, travel or booking product.
• Experience owning the full product lifecycle, from identifying customer problems through to roadmap, delivery, launch, measuring outcome and optimisation.
• Strong product strategy and prioritisation skills, balancing customer needs, commercial goals, technical constraints, marketplace dynamics and long-term product direction.
• Consumer-centered decision-making skills, using quantitative data, research, experimentation and feedback to identify opportunities and measure impact.
• Brings cross-functional teams together to explore problems, understand technical considerations, and translate these into clear product decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience aligning teams and communicating product decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering measurable outcomes in a high-impact environment.
