Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this Client, a successful and inclusive secondary school based in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, in their search for an enthusiastic and talented Drama Teacher to join their team on a one-year fixed-term contract, working four days per week, from September.

This Client is seeking a passionate Drama specialist who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will join a creative and dedicated Performing Arts department committed to delivering engaging and innovative lessons that develop students' confidence, creativity and performance skills while promoting high levels of achievement.

The Role

As a Drama Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
    Plan and deliver creative and engaging learning experiences that inspire a love of the performing arts.
    Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
    Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
    Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
    Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and performance skills.
    Promote high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
    Support school productions, performances and enrichment opportunities.
    Participate fully in the wider life of the school.

Qualifications Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies or a closely related subject.
    Evidence of ongoing professional development.
    A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.

Salary: London MPS/UPS (Pro Rata)

M1 - M6 salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6, UPS requires formal application. Salary will be pro rata to reflect the four-day-per-week working pattern.

Contract Type: One-Year Fixed-Term Contract (0.8 FTE)

Start Date: September
