About the Role
Are you passionate about precision, quality, and making a tangible impact on construction and infrastructure projects? Heidelberg Materials Technical UK is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to support our commitment to excellence across our Concrete, Asphalt, and Quarry product lines.
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation in line with British and European standards. You'll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform sampling, testing, and specimen preparation for Concrete, Asphalt, and Aggregates.
Conduct preliminary investigations at plants and customer sites.
Identify and report product quality issues, raising NCRs and Near Hits where necessary.
Review water demands, site practices, and delivery methods to ensure consistency.
Provide feedback to technical and operations teams to drive continuous improvement.
Uphold and promote a culture of safety and quality across all activities.
What We're Looking For
Experience in a technical or laboratory setting (construction materials preferred).
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and reporting.
Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
A proactive attitude towards safety and quality assurance.
Full UK driving licence (essential for specimen transportation).
