Merchandise Planner (12 month fixed contract)

REISS
London

What’s the role about?

As our Merchandise Planner, you’ll take ownership of one of Reiss’ global wholesale accounts, working with notable partners across the US, Canada, Mexico and Australia. Combining planning, trading and account management, you’ll play a key role in building balanced ranges, driving partner performance and ensuring the right product reaches the right market at the right time.

Working closely with our Wholesale, Product, Shipping and Marketing teams, you’ll use commercial insight and strong partner relationships to maximise sell-out, manage stock and intake, and support the continued growth of Reiss across international markets.

This position is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Who you are

  • You’ll have previous experience in wholesale merchandising, merchandising or a similar commercial fashion role, with a strong understanding of international markets.
  • Commercially minded and confident working with sales, stock, forecasts and budgets to identify opportunities and drive performance.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines and critical processes across different markets.
  • A confident communicator who can build strong relationships with global partners and collaborate effectively across internal teams.
  • Analytical and detail-focused, with strong Excel and data management skills and the ability to turn information into clear commercial actions.
  • A supportive team player with the confidence to coach others, share knowledge and contribute to a high-performing Wholesale team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the planning and trading of a key global Wholesale account, reporting on performance and forecasts against budget and identifying opportunities to drive growth.
  • Managing departmental forecasting across Fashion and Continuity, ensuring Wholesale requirements are aligned with Reiss Mainline bookings.
  • Producing pre and post-buy analysis to support balanced ranges that meet the needs of global partners and maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Supporting the end-to-end Wholesale and Franchise market process, managing buy calendars, order deadlines and virtual or in-house market appointments through NuOrder.
  • Driving in-season trading opportunities with partners, using available stock and performance insight to increase sell-out.
  • Managing stock, intake, allocation and dispatch, ensuring committed stock reaches partners within agreed trading and shipping windows.
  • Ensuring partners and internal teams have accurate product imagery, data, buy and forecast information, while working closely with Product, Shipping and Marketing to support timely deliveries.
  • Managing and developing Assistant and Trainee Merchandise Planners, while acting as a coach and building capability across the wider Wholesale team.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and company bonus.
  • Up to 65% employee discount.
  • Access to exclusive sample sales.
  • MetLife Virtual GP.
  • Medicash health support plan.
  • Workplace pension contributions.
  • Enhanced parental leave policies.
  • Electric Vehicle scheme via Octopus Energy.
  • Cycle to Work programme.
  • Season ticket travel loan.
  • Annual Leave purchase.
  • Access to additional Retail Discounts.
  • Plus, a range of further benefits, including salary sacrifice for tax savings.
