Social Producer - BFI Film Academy

Salary: £35,640 – £41,763 per annumFixed Term Contract: until 31/03/2029Hours: 41 hours per week, including 1 hour lunch breakLocation: onsite & hybrid: 1 day required in the Stephen Street or Southbank office.We are looking for a creative, digitally savvy and audience-focused social media professional with a passion for engaging young people and an enthusiasm for film, screen culture and emerging talent. The successful candidate will have experience creating high-quality social-first content, managing social media channels and building online communities across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X. They will be confident in filming, editing and delivering engaging content, using analytics and insights to drive performance and inform creative decisions. A strong collaborator, they will be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised and adaptable, with a keen eye for trends and a commitment to supporting BFI Film Academy's mission to inspire and develop the next generation of film and screen industry talent.What you’ll doDevelop and deliver an engaging social media strategy and content plan that grows awareness of BFI Film Academy and inspires young people to explore careers in the film and screen industries.Create, film, edit and publish compelling social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X, tailored to the interests and behaviours of under-25 audiences.
Manage and grow the BFI Film Academy online community by responding to audience engagement, fostering conversations and promoting programme opportunities and success stories.
Use analytics, audience insights and platform trends to optimise content performance, measure impact and provide regular reporting and recommendations.
Collaborate with colleagues, partners to capture stories, support live event coverage and showcase the breadth of BFI Film Academy activity across the UK.What you’ll bringProven experience creating and managing engaging social media content across platforms, with a strong understanding of what resonates with young and diverse audiences.
Excellent content creation skills, including filming, editing and producing high-quality social-first video and digital content.
Strong analytical abilities, with experience using social media insights and reporting tools to evaluate performance and inform decision-making.
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively with colleagues, partners, and external stakeholders.
