A vibrant and oversubscribed three-form entry primary school in Barnet is seeking a warm, approachable, and proactive Receptionist to join their community-focused office team.
The School & Community Ethos This primary school is at the heart of its local community in Barnet. It is celebrated for its inclusive ethos and its success in fostering strong relationships with families. The reception is a busy, welcoming environment where you will build rapport with pupils and parents, acting as a supportive first point of contact for the entire school family.
The Role & Personnel Leadership This role requires a candidate who loves working with children and can manage the fast-paced nature of a primary school office with a smile.
Family Liaison: Providing high-quality customer service to parents regarding school meals, uniform, after-school clubs, and the school’s communication app.
Pupil Welfare: Managing the "sick bay" for minor injuries (ice packs, plasters) and maintaining accurate medical logs and parental contact records.
Safeguarding Hub: Monitoring the school’s secure entrance and ensuring all contractors and volunteers have the necessary DBS clearances before entry.
Administrative Accuracy: Maintaining the accuracy of pupil files and assisting the Business Manager with the processing of incoming invoices and school mail.
Salary Range: £31,000 – £35,000 (Inner London Scale)
Start Date: ASAP (Full-time, Permanent)
