Registered Manager – Children’s EBD Residential Home (Start‑Up)
Overview
Salary: £60,000 per annum.
Onsite role within a children’s residential home.
Fully remote working is not available.
Right to Work in the UK is required. Sponsorship is not available.
Requires prior experience as an Ofsted or CQC Registered Manager and experience managing children’s residential care.
• Lead Ofsted registration, setup and mobilisation of a new EBD home.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations and ensure safe, person‑centred care.
• Recruit, supervise and develop a small staff team.
• Act as safeguarding lead and maintain safeguarding compliance.
• Oversee behaviour support, risk management and therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain quality audits, records and reporting against KPIs.
• Manage budgets, rotas, agency use and procurement.
• Build relationships with social workers, local authorities and partner services.
• Support occupancy planning and service development. What you’ll need
• Prior experience as an Ofsted or CQC Registered Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.
• Proven leadership experience within children’s residential services, ideally EBD.
• Ability to recruit, coach and develop staff.
• High attention to detail for documentation and compliance.
• Resilience and adaptability in a start‑up environment.
• Confident communication and multiagency working skills.
• Full UK driving licence desirable. Pay & benefits
