Chemistry Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Barnet |...
We are working with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" mixed secondary school in Barnet recruiting for a Chemistry Teacher. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting ASAP.
The Role You will teach Chemistry across KS3, KS4, and KS5. The role involves delivering high-level practical and theoretical lessons to academically ambitious students within a well-resourced Science department. Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering Chemistry lessons that challenge and inspire students
Preparing Year 11 and Year 13 students for their upcoming public examinations
Managing laboratory practicals with the support of a dedicated technician team
Participating in departmental moderation and collaborative planning
Maintaining "Outstanding" standards of teaching and learning

What the School Is Looking For
QTS and a specialist degree in Chemistry
Proven experience teaching Chemistry through to A-Level
Ability to commit to a full-time maternity cover contract
