Management Accountant

We’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance Team at Skin + Me. This is a hybrid working role with three days a week in our Paddington HQ (Mon, Tue, Fri) and two days remote. 

About the role:

The role will balance core finance responsibilities with project based work. The core finance responsibilities will give you the chance to develop the skills needed to become a rounded management account, fundamental for those that would like to progress to a finance director role in the future. The project work will allow you to have a huge impact on the company, driving system changes, cost efficiencies, or even strategy changes.

What you'll do:

• Lead the month-end close process, reviewing output from junior team members to produce accurate and timely management accounts;
• Work on ad-hoc projects within the core finance team, including:
• Identifying process efficiencies and implementing improvements to enable these;
• Fixing and rebuilding controls and reports; and
• Reactive business partnering with stakeholders across the business;
• Is responsible for a majority of the deliverables for the external statutory audit, liaising with the auditors and collating data requests;
• Take ownership of the corporate compliance, preparing and filing VAT returns and ensuring all statutory and regulatory filing requirements are met;
• Manages the monthly payroll process, liaising with our People team and third-party payroll providers; and
• Owns treasury management, including cash forecasting, optimising savings and managing KYC.

Who you are:

These are the skills we’re looking for. Even if you don’t tick every box, but feel you’re right for us, we’d still love to hear from you. 

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Significant experience in a finance/accounting based role;
• Confident in their technical accounting skills, able to research and apply accounting treatment to significant or new transactions;
• A Microsoft Excel expert.... and willing to learn more;
• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and
• Has solid month end and audit experience.
