Wayman Education is pleased to recruit a committed Nursery Practitioner for a busy nursery provision in Camden. The successful Nursery Practitioner will support daily routines, deliver small-group activities that build language and physical development, and help maintain safe, stimulating indoor and outdoor environments. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with the nursery lead and Reception teacher to observe, assess and plan next steps for children’s learning. This Nursery Practitioner position will suit an experienced Nursery Practitioner or a passionate early-years colleague ready to start January 2026.

Start Date – January 2026
Contract – Permanent / Term-time (flexible hours considered)
The Role
As Nursery Practitioner, you will set up learning areas, deliver focused group activities, support personal care and hygiene, and record observations to inform planning. The Nursery Practitioner will support smooth transitions into Reception and contribute to parent meetings and safeguarding procedures. The appointed Nursery Practitioner will be expected to commence work in January 2026, take part in induction from January 2026, and support termly planning meetings in Camden. The role is based in Camden and will involve engagement with local families across Camden.

This Camden nursery provision is well-resourced, community-focused and committed to professional development. The Nursery Practitioner will benefit from mentorship, collaborative planning time and regular supervision. The Nursery Practitioner will also support outreach and family engagement programmes across Camden.
Person specification for the Nursery Practitioner:
• Experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or in an Early Years role.
• Knowledge of child development, observation and planning as required for a Nursery Practitioner.
• Flexible, caring approach and able to start January 2026 in Camden.
