Calculations Support Assistant

Stratford, Greater London

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Calculations Assistant to join our dynamic property management team. This role is a great opportunity to learn about lease structures and associated billing clauses whilst occupying a role which contributes to the financial success of our portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with accurate and timely tenant billing and collation of data. You will gain experience in interpreting lease agreements, performing financial calculations, and working with our surveying teams. This role requires a strong analytical foundation, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality outputs that support efficient operations.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Lease Abstraction & Data Tracking:
  • + Carefully review and interpret lease agreements, extracting key financial clauses related to RPI/CPI adjustments, rent reviews, turnover rent and service charge calculations. + Build and maintain accurate tracking models to calculate and update tenant obligations.
  • Billing & Reporting:
  • + Assist in generating accurate and timely rent and service charge demands for a diverse range of tenants, following lease terms. + Help maintain the teams registers of all RPI/CPI & turnover rent calculations, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout + Organise information to assist colleagues in their preparation for presenting to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • + Establish effective communication with the surveying team & any other relevant teams within CBRE to document rent and service charge changes + Support senior team members by assisting with billing inquiries, lease interpretations and calculation advice.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance:
  • + Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the billing and financial tracking processes. + Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key tasks, under the guidance of senior team members. + Maintain and update in-house databases, spreadsheets, and trackers for accurate reporting.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • + Management of team mailboxes to assist with allocation of work + Handle ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned.

    + General ability to interpret financial data and use this data for desired outcomes. + Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel (intermediate skills preferred). + Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely + Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. + Proactive approach to tasks, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Desirable Experience:
  • + Experience with TRAMPS & YARDI accounting systems is a plus. + Basic understanding of lease documentation principles & relevant financial terminology including RPI/CPI clauses, service charge caps, and other financial provisions. + A genuine interest in property management and financial calculations
