SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants with prior experience in working with children with additional needs and learning difficulties in Hammersmith and Fulham. You will be playing a vital role in supporting pupils and helping them integrate through mainstream classes, break/lunch times and involvement in school events.

About the role

The job will require you to work 1:1 or in small groups, adapting activities and supporting access to the curriculum.

-You will need previous experience working with children with high needs.

-Ability to observe, record progress or issues, and feedback appropriately.

-Be skilled in spotting gaps in learning and intervening.

-Be able to focus on each pupils personal development and behavior alongside classroom based support.

-You will be required to support and work with the teacher and assist pupils in and outside the classroom.

-Full time role within KS1-KS2

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

• Prior experience working with SEN pupils
• Effective communication skills and willingness to work with different needs.

• Understanding of inclusion and independence

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Experience working with SEN pupils

• Assisting pupils from all backgrounds with personal development
• Be able to work as part of a wider team, perhaps across classes or collaborating with other staff.
