About the Job

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced bids and pursuits professional to take ownership of strategic, high-value opportunities across an international business. Working closely with partners, business development teams, and senior stakeholders, you will lead the development of winning pursuit strategies and manage complex opportunities from qualification through to submission and post-bid review.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of bids and pursuits, from opportunity qualification through to submission, presentations, and post-pursuit analysis.
  • Develop compelling win strategies, value propositions, and key messaging tailored to client requirements and market opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to influence pursuit strategy, maximise competitive positioning, and support revenue growth.
  • Drive bid and pursuit best practice, ensuring high-quality, client-focused submissions that meet all compliance requirements.
  • Analyse bid performance, feedback, reporting, and win-rate data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain bid content, pursuit tools, proposal systems, and knowledge resources to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior bids and pursuits professionals.
  • Collaborate with business development teams and senior leadership to foster a high-performing, commercially focused growth culture.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bids, pursuits, proposals, or business development within legal, professional services, or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, strategic opportunities and delivering successful work-winning outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior professionals confidently.
  • Exceptional proposal writing, editing, and content development skills, with the ability to articulate clear and persuasive value propositions.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Experience developing and implementing pursuit strategies, win themes, and competitive positioning plans.
  • Strong coaching and leadership capabilities with experience supporting and developing junior team members.
  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience; APMP or similar bid qualifications advantageous
