An award-winning Legal 500 firm based in Central London is looking to recruit a talented Construction Solicitor to join its thriving team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Lawyer with a passion for non-contentious construction law , while also gaining exposure to contentious matters within a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Role:

You’ll play a key role in advising a broad client base—including developers, contractors, funders and consultants—on a wide range of non-contentious construction matters . The team is involved in high-profile projects in the UK and internationally across sectors such as high value residential development, luxury retail, student accommodation and mixed use developments.

Your Focus Will Include:

Non-Contentious Work

• Drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC and bespoke construction contracts
• Advising on development agreements, joint ventures and procurement strategies
• Structuring projects and managing risk
• Supporting clients through funding arrangements and delivery models

Contentious Work (as needed)

• Assisting with disputes including delay, disruption and defects claims
• Supporting on professional negligence and adjudication matters

You’ll work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship to develop your expertise across both advisory and dispute resolution work.

About You:

• UK-qualified Solicitor with 4-8 years’ PQE
• Strong experience in non-contentious construction law
• Interest or exposure to contentious matters is a plus
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and client-facing skills
• Background from a respected Central London or leading regional firm
