Engineering Project Manager
Zotefoams plc is a world leader in cellular material technology, headquartered in Croydon, UK, with additional manufacturing sites in Kentucky, USA and Brzeg, Poland, Oklahoma, USA (foam products manufacture and conversion) and Jiangsu Province, China (T-FIT).
We produce lightweight foams for various markets including sports and leisure, aviation, automotive and healthcare. Zotefoams also owns and licenses patented technology and sells advanced insulation systems

About the Role:
You will lead complex, cross-functional engineering projects from concept to completion, managing internal teams and external contractors to deliver safe, robust and on-time solutions that support site development and expansion. You will own delivery, governance and handover, ensuring projects meet technical, safety and operational requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership for delivery of engineering projects, ensuring equipment installations meet technical, safety and operational requirements.
- Plan and execute work to agreed timelines and budgets, reporting progress, risks and deviations.
- Oversee day-to-day engineering activities and resolve technical and project issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with standards, procedures and regulatory requirements, including CDM.
- Control budget and schedule, achieving milestones and financial targets.
- Manage interfaces across disciplines and administer change control.
- Lead or participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments and safety assurance.
- Run stakeholder reviews with internal teams and external partners, maintaining alignment.
- Support commissioning and handover, closing out projects with documentation and lessons learned.
- Oversee commercial aspects: capital budgets, procurement, tenders, negotiations and invoices.
- Champion health, safety and environmental culture and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across the project portfolio and mentor engineers to develop capability.
What you'll need:
Qualifications
- Degree or HND in an engineering discipline, with experience in a project environment.
- Desirable: membership of APM or equivalent.
Knowledge
- Project management methodologies and techniques, practical OHSE and environmental legislation.
- Commercial awareness of cost impacts on decisions and proposals.
- Technical competence across M&E, plastics extrusion and injection moulding, pressure systems, automation and general engineering.
Experience
- 8+ years’ engineering and project delivery in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Proven leadership of project teams or initiatives, able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Track record of driving process improvements for efficiency, safety and equipment performance.
Skills
- Clear, confident communication to technical and non-technical audiences, strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritise and manage a busy workload with multiple activities.
- Persuasive and influential, able to motivate others and deliver results through people.
