Class Teacher of Children with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an exceptional class teacher to join our team at Ealing Primary Centre and lead a small SEMH class (KS1 in the first instance), delivering a highly adaptive, relational curriculum to children who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion. You will have good, recent experience of working as a teacher in a mainstream or special provision. We particularly welcome applications from teachers with Key Stage 1 and EYFS experience. The successful candidate will work in Ealing Primary Centre and support pupils with a range of needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties. They will: Be genuinely committed to working with primary aged pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and to helping them to successfully engage with learning. Have proven experience of successful positive behaviour management skills, using a relational approach, particularly with regard to children with additional needs. Be flexible, highly motivated and creative with excellent interpersonal skills. Be ready to work in an established multi- disciplinary team with a range of professionals.
