Shipping Assistant (12 month FTC)

Jellycat
London

For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.

We are looking for Shipping Assistant to join our logistics team and support the smooth flow of international shipments. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience and a keen eye for detail, looking to develop their career in shipping and logistics. You will be responsible for preparing and managing documentation, monitoring daily shipments, liaising with carriers, and ensuring compliance with international shipping requirements. The position requires excellent organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Obtaining, checking, distributing, file shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Conformity etc.) to freight forwarders on time.
  • Recording container shipments in SAP, flagging discrepancies to factories/warehouses (UK, USA, Hong Kong, Shanghai).
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date shipment data in SAP.
  • Arranging dispatch of parcels and handle courier-related queries (DHL, DPD, others).
  • Monitoring daily exports from the UK warehouse to EU destinations, including priority key accounts in Paris and Milan.
  • Tracking express courier shipments (i.e.: DHL) , resolving delays, customs issues, and ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Monitoring shipment returns from the EU to the UK warehouse.

  • Minimum 1 years’ administration experience in a logistics environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and SAP.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a meticulous and accurate approach.
  • Quick learner with a can-do attitude.
