Post 16 SEND Learning Support Assistant

Set in a welcoming residential community, the centre offers learners opportunities both on-site and in the wider community—through local work placements, theatre partnerships, outdoor learning and creative projects. No two days are ever the same.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting students aged 16+ with special educational needs in small-group and community-based learning
• Encouraging independence and confidence through creative, practical and sensory approaches
• Taking part in community partnerships with local businesses, charities, and arts organisations
• Working closely with specialist staff and therapists to give every student the best chance to thrive

What we’re looking for:

• Experience supporting learners with additional needs (ASD, SLD or similar)
• Patience, adaptability and a positive mindset
• A proactive and creative approach to learning—whether that’s through arts, sports, or hands-on activities
• Team players who can bring warmth and reliability to the role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
