We are currently working with a dynamic sports academy secondary school in Upminster that is seeking a dedicated Biology Teacher to join their thriving Science department. This Upminster school combines academic achievement with a strong sporting culture, encouraging students to develop both in the classroom and on the field while fostering a genuine interest in Biology and the sciences. This Biology Teacher role in Upminster offers the opportunity to deliver engaging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 while linking scientific understanding to health, fitness and human performance within the academy environment. Job Overview:
* This Upminster secondary sports academy caters for students aged 11-16.
* Full-time Biology Teacher position, Monday - Friday.
* Deliver engaging Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Plan, prepare and assess Biology lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
* Encourage students to connect Biology with sport, health and human performance.
* Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider teaching team. What we're looking for:
* Qualified Biology Teacher with QTS (or 7+ years' experience teaching Biology).
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Biology.
* A proactive and engaging Biology Teacher who can inspire learners.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
