The Opportunity
A supportive primary school in Enfield is seeking a resilient and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide behaviour-focused support to pupils with additional needs. This role is well suited to candidates who are confident supporting children with SEMH needs, emotional regulation difficulties, and challenging behaviour .
You will work primarily with pupils in Key Stage 2 , providing 1:1 support and small group interventions to help pupils manage emotions, build positive relationships, and engage with learning.

Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted behaviour and SEMH support
Support emotional regulation using positive strategies
Build trusting and professional relationships with pupils
Assist pupils with accessing learning and routines
Implement behaviour plans and SEN strategies
Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times
Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour
Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
Person Specification
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behaviour needs
Calm, consistent, and resilient approach
Strong de-escalation and communication skills
Ability to follow structured behaviour plans
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
This role is suitable for candidates with experience in SEN schools, mainstream SEN support, youth work, or behaviour support roles.
