SEND Teaching Assistant-Ruislip (High Needs Support)
SEND Teaching Assistant – Ruislip (High Needs Support) £95–£105 per day | Immediate Start | Full Time Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting high-needs pupils? I’m looking for someone confident, patient and skilled to join a lovely primary school in Ruislip, working closely with pupils who are pre-verbal, require feeding support, and need high levels of engagement and consistency throughout the day. This role is hands-on, purposeful and perfect for someone who genuinely wants to improve a child’s daily experience. The Role
- Supporting pre-verbal communication using PECs, visuals, gestures or alternative communication approaches
- Assisting with feeding, mealtime routines and sensory regulation
- Engaging pupils in sensory, structured and play-based activities
- Supporting attention, interaction and emotional regulation
- Following individual support plans and working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Previous school-based SEND experience — essential
- Experience supporting high-needs pupils, including pre-verbal children and feeding support — essential
- Calm, nurturing and resilient approach
- Confident supporting sensory needs and challenging behaviour
- Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively within a team
- Competitive daily rate £90–£105
- Free SEND, behaviour and communication training
