Role Overview
As a Senior Specialist in the HANA Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), you will be the go-to expert for Data & Analytics solutions within our Customer Advisory organization. You will leverage your deep expertise to support the entire sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to post-sale customer support, and assist customers in expanding their SAP footprint. This high-impact role bridges strategy and execution—designed to help scale adoption, accelerate migration, and unlock value from SAP HANA Cloud across our customer base.
You’ll work in close collaboration with account teams, partners, and customer success teams—supporting the full customer lifecycle with expert guidance, solution architecture, and scalable best practices. While not carrying a quota, your role is critical in driving sales execution, deal velocity, and customer outcomes at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the go-to advisor for HANA Cloud migrations and transformation engagements.
Guide customers on transitioning from legacy/on-premise systems HANA, Sybase databases to cloud-native data platforms.
Support account teams in structuring and progressing strategic HANA Cloud and IBM ASE cloud opportunities.
Deliver standard and customized solution demonstrations
Support the Account Team in identifying and qualifying new opportunities
Evaluate account qualification criteria and fine-tune account strategy
Collaborate on creating overall themes and competitive differentiation
Support execution of regional HANA Cloud campaigns and demand generation activities.
Conduct dry runs for strategic deals and customer engagements
Transition engagements to implementation partners effectively
Engage in storytelling that connects HANA Cloud to tangible business outcomes and industry narratives.
Analyze industry and technology trends around data platforms, AI-readiness, and cloud transformations.
Leverage digital assets throughout customer engagements
Partner with Customer Success, Product Management, Value Engineering, and Ecosystem teams to ensure customer success.
Help define reference architectures and collaborate on large-scale transformation programs.
Share insights and success stories across regions to scale impact and consistency.
What You Bring
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in enterprise data platforms, architecture, or solution advisory roles.
Deep knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud, SAP BTP, and cloud data management principles.
Experience driving or supporting large data migrations and transformation programs.
Strong understanding of hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid-cloud patterns.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value.
Excellent storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
Familiarity with SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Business AI.
Experience with AI/ML adoption narratives and data-driven transformation strategies.
Prior exposure to pre-sales, or sales execution support roles.
Understanding of SAP’s GTM motions and internal tools/processes.
