👨‍💻 About the Role
We're excited to announce an opportunity for an IT & Systems Manager to be a part of our expanding team in the UK! As we grow both steadily and swiftly, we're embarking on numerous new projects. For these ventures, we require a proactive and experienced individual who can take ownership of our IT environment, strengthen our IT security, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency across our systems and tools.
👋 About You 
As an IT & Systems Manager at Mous, you'll work collaboratively with all departments, reporting directly into our Finance and Operations Director. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment, playing a crucial role in ensuring our IT systems are secure, scalable, and supportive of our long-term growth.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain oversight of data security and compliance across all platforms, ensuring GDPR requirements are met
- Create and maintain documentation of system architecture, processes, and integrations
- Manage integrations between core systems (e.g. ERP, Shopify, Amazon)
- Liaise with third-party software providers to ensure service quality and resolve technical issues
- Monitor and improve how systems are used across the business, identifying opportunities for efficiency and scalability
- Maintain and enforce IT policies and best practices, particularly in relation to data handling and security
- Act as the key point of contact for IT-related matters, including user access, account setup and permissions management
- Support staff with IT queries and coordinate issue resolution with vendors or service providers
- Lead on IT-related projects such as implementing new tools, refining workflows, or onboarding new technology
🤓 Skills requirements:
- Proven experience managing cloud-based systems and SaaS platforms (e.g. ERP, Shopify, Microsoft 365)
- Strong understanding of data protection, IT security best practices, and GDPR compliance
- Hands-on experience managing third-party vendors and system integrations
- Solid understanding of backend systems and databases, with proficiency in SQL
- Ability to document systems and processes clearly and methodically
- Confident leading IT projects from planning through to implementation
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Panoply, Freshdesk, Amazon Seller Central
- Experience supporting eCommerce or multi-channel retail businesses
- Knowledge of data warehousing, reporting tools, or BI platforms
- Exposure to API integrations and middleware platforms
- Understanding of 3PL system integrations and logistics operations
- Professional certifications (e.g. Microsoft 365, GDPR, CompTIA Security+, ITIL)

We expect people to come into the office at least three days a week but some teams opt for more as it’s beneficial for their workflow.
