Group Support Assistant, LBR6, Early Years Qualifi - Childrens Services

start date: Immediate start
Salary: £17.54 per hour
To contribute to the planning of and facilitating groups for families of children in the early years with additional needs within the Redbridge SEND Hub, located at the Redbridge Children’s Centre. This will include direct delivery of sessions throughout the year and will include supporting young children who may have a range of complex needs with all aspects of their development, including any self-care needs.
To identify needs of children and their families and support Early Years and Childcare colleagues on carry out targeted support.
To offer advice and guidance to parents on supporting children with additional needs within the early years.
To promote and support inclusive practice across the Redbridge Children’s Centres by offering practical advice in planning appropriate activities and sessions in early years settings .The role will require visiting settings across the local authority and locations may change regularly.
To contribute to the data collection and reporting processes
To carry out all duties in accordance with the borough’s equal opportunity policy and equality impact assessment
To undertake any other duties that are deemed commensurate with the role
