The Opportunity
Wayman Education is seeking an innovative and technically skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join a premier secondary school in the heart of Kensington . The Role
We are looking for a specialist who is passionate about the "Design Process"—from initial sketching to final prototyping. You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) , with the opportunity to teach A-Level Product Design for a candidate with the right expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Instruction: Deliver high-quality lessons across a range of disciplines, including Resistant Materials (wood, metal, plastics), Systems and Control, and Graphic Products.
Modern Fabrication: Utilize CAD/CAM technology, including 3D printing and laser cutting, to help students realize complex design solutions.
Innovation & Design: Encourage students to solve real-world problems through iterative design, sustainability analysis, and material testing.
Safety Management: Maintain an impeccable standard of health and safety within the workshop, ensuring all machinery is used correctly and student safety is prioritized.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Product Design , Design & Technology , or Engineering .
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., 2D Design, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360) and CAM machinery .
A track record of achieving strong academic results at GCSE and/or A-Level.
A commitment to workshop safety and a passion for hands-on, project-based learning.
