Graphic Designer (3-4 days a week) - Ashleigh & Burwood

Ashleigh & Burwood is a British home fragrance brand with over thirty years of heritage, a loyal customer base, and a genuine warmth that runs through everything they make. They bring a little joy into people's homes every day, and they're looking for a designer to help that come through in every product, pack and page.

They need a hands-on midweight designer who can take a brief and run with it, from first concept to print-ready artwork. You'll work across packaging, brand and marketing for their home fragrance collections, under the guidance of their Design Manager, and help keep every new launch looking and feeling like Ashleigh & Burwood.

This is a close-knit team of around thirty people, where everyone mucks in, and they're looking for a true collaborator to join them.

What you'll be doing

Concepts and packaging

• Work with the product team to develop creative concepts for new collections and range extensions

• Take ideas all the way through line-ups, layouts and final artwork

• Create gift and DTC packaging that looks beautiful and stays true to the brand

• Agree brand guidelines for new launches and make sure artwork sticks to them

Brand and marketing assets

• Design assets for e-commerce, social, marketing campaigns and retail POS

• Create trade show POS and on-site assets

• Design catalogue layouts for print and digital

• Support the OEM team with collateral built to their clients' brand guidelines

• Create and optimise images for different platforms

Planning and collaboration

• Work with NPD, sales and digital to understand what's needed for each season and launch

• Agree the approach to assets and key product benefits with the product team

• Help plan timelines and priorities with the Design Manager, and keep everyone in the loop

• Present your ideas, explain the thinking behind them and hold a clear point of view

• Work with the technical team on IFRA and CLP updates, keeping artwork clearly marked as draft, latest or print ready

Curiosity and new tools

• Keep on top of packaging trends and emerging design themes, and share them with the wider business

• Explore AI image tools that could support product and lifestyle imagery

• Build your 3D design skills, including SolidWorks

• Question how things are done and bring fresh ideas to the table

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years design experience, ideally in FMCG, across brand, packaging and marketing or VM

• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• Solid print-ready artwork experience, with a real eye for detail at artwork stage

• A good understanding of typography, colour, layout and brand hierarchy

• Confident presenting your work and backing it up with examples

• Organised and able to juggle several projects at once without dropping the ball

• A team player in the true sense, not just on paper. This is a small, collaborative company and everyone helps solve problems

• Curious about 3D and AI tools is a nice bonus
  

Salary: £40,000-45,000 depending on experience, pro rata for 3-4 days a week
Logistics: West Molesey (near Hampton Court), 3 days a week in the office
