Graduate Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across your subject specialism
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with students to boost confidence and progress
- Help plan and prepare lesson resources
- Manage classroom activities and provide tailored support to students of varying abilities
- Gain first-hand classroom experience to prepare for a future in teaching
Graduate Teaching Assistant: Who We’re Looking For
To succeed in this Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you must have:
- A 2:1 or higher degree in any subject (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, etc) from a Russell Group or top-30 University
- Strong academic background at GCSE and A-Level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for working with young people
- Considering a career in teaching or education
- Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential
