Graduate Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across your subject specialism
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students to boost confidence and progress
• Help plan and prepare lesson resources
• Manage classroom activities and provide tailored support to students of varying abilities
• Gain first-hand classroom experience to prepare for a future in teaching

Graduate Teaching Assistant: Who We’re Looking For

To succeed in this Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you must have:

• A 2:1 or higher degree in any subject (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, etc) from a Russell Group or top-30 University
• Strong academic background at GCSE and A-Level
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for working with young people
• Considering a career in teaching or education
• Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential
