First Team Soft Tissue Therapist (Casual/Part-time)

About this role:
Crystal Palace FC is looking for outstanding Soft Tissue Therapists (part-time) to join our pool of casual staff providing soft tissues services to the First Team squad, and high-potential Academy players.
Responsibilities:
Deliver pre and post training soft tissue treatment to ensure optimum condition of players during daily training
Provide pre- and post-match soft-tissue therapy and recovery support for First Team players, including overnight stays at team hotels when required.
Assess and manage musculoskeletal problems which would be amenable to soft tissue therapy
Treat injured players in conjunction with the medical team to ensure optimum recovery and rehabilitation.
Work with the interdisciplinary team to individualise treatment and recovery strategies in accordance with the team periodisation.
Attend occasional home and away fixtures (including European travel) as required.
Maintain detailed and comprehensive clinical notes on the Smartabase electronic health records system
Communicate regularly with colleagues and key stakeholders to update on player status
Support the effective operation and maintenance of medical treatment environments across the training ground and stadium.
Participate in a programme of structured CPD specific to your individual needs, in the context of the wider departmental priorities.
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Required
A minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience with evidence of working in a professional sporting environment
Level 5 qualification in Sports Massage
Exceptional communication skills including the ability to communicate concisely, assertively, and effectively at all levels and across various professional disciplines
A track record in treating professional sports personnel to ensure the highest standard of service is provided to the players at all times.
Detailed awareness of Safeguarding procedures, and how to recognise and escalate concerns.
Desirable
BSc in a relevant subject
Qualifications and experience in the use of alternative soft tissue treatment modalities which can be appropriately, safely, and effectively used to treat professional footballers.
Advanced Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) qualification
FA Safeguarding Certification
Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., French, Spanish)
