Store Manager

London

Contract: Permanent
Shift pattern: Flexible to work weekday and weekends - 37.5 hours per week

About the role

Are you ready to lead a team where clinical excellence and luxury retail come together to create an experience unlike any other?

At our Boots Opticians Wigmore Street store located in the heart of London Marylebone, we are redefining the experience of luxury eyewear by combining clinical excellence with world-class service, offering an exceptional standard of eye care alongside bespoke eyewear consultation designed for a discerning, private clientele.

Following an exciting store refit scheduled for early 2026, we are now seeking an exceptional Store Manager to lead our team and help shape the next chapter. You can enjoy the energy of city living whilst working in the centre of the action, providing the ultimate blend of convenience and fast-paced urban lifestyle

Reporting to the store manager of another nearby flagship location, you will take full ownership of a beautifully curated boutique environment. You will inspire, develop, and lead a team of up to 10 professionals including Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians and Retail Assistants, ensuring that every client interaction reflects the clinical precision and personal care synonymous with the Boots brand.

This is more than a managerial role — it's an opportunity to enhance a luxury retail experience to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

The store is open seven days a week operating clinics Monday to Sunday. Each customer will enjoy a 40–45-minute eye examination in a private consulting room before being personally guided by a Dispensing Optician to choose their choice of frames and lenses.

Your role:
  • Drive sales performance and ensure operational excellence within a luxury setting.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop your team to deliver first-class customer service.
  • Champion our unique-to-Boots approach to eye care and optical consultation.
  • Maintain the impeccable presentation and atmosphere of the store.
  • You will work with your team to assist customers and find the products and services that best meet their needs.
  • Empower your team to nurture customer relationships and deliver sales through service.
  • Complete our industry-leading 'Step into Optics' training programme to help you develop your professional and clinical knowledge.
