Role summary - Reception Teacher
The Reception Teacher will design play-based continuous provision, lead systematic phonics and plan high-quality adult-led sessions as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will use observation to assess attainment against the Early Learning Goals and will tailor next steps as the Reception Teacher. From preparation before January 2026 to delivery after January 2026, the Reception Teacher will be central to children’s first school experiences.

Reception Teacher - responsibilities & daily routine
• Lead daily phonics, story and early numeracy sessions as the Reception Teacher.
• Create language-rich indoor and outdoor environments as the Reception Teacher.
• Engage families through workshops and structured parents’ meetings as the Reception Teacher.
The Reception Teacher will plan and prepare materials in advance of January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 in a Part-Time capacity.

Candidate essentials - Reception Teacher
We are looking for a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS (or equivalent), strong early years knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills. The Reception Teacher should be available for planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 as the Part-Time Reception Teacher. Even as a Part-Time Reception Teacher, you will access CPD and mentoring starting January 2026.
