Finance Assistant

Are you an experienced Finance Assistant seeking a new permanent opportunity? Our client, based in Coulsdon, is looking for a skilled individual to join their busy finance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid experience in Finance who is confident working with Sage software.

Job title: Finance Assistant

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE

Location: Coulsdon (Moving to Warlingham early 2026)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparing/reconciling bank & balance sheet items.

* Drafting journals (accruals, prepayments).

* Pre-checking transactions before the Finance Manager signs off.

* Helping with month-end packs.

* Providing Accounts Payable cover during annual leave.

* Ambition to grow rather than stay purely transactional.

Requirements:

* AAT L3/L4 or early ACCA/CIMA, currently supporting a Finance Manager or Management Accountant.

* Proven experience using Sage accounting software.

* Previous background in a Finance Assistant or similar finance role.

* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

* Good communication skills and a professional, proactive approach.
