Financial Analyst - FP&A
Job description
We are partnering with a well-established, highly recognised consumer brand to recruit an ambitious Finance Analyst into its London-based finance team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a highly commercial FP&A position offering significant exposure across the business. You will work closely with senior leadership, including the Finance Director and CEO, while business partnering with managers across a network of multiple locations.
This would suit an ambitious Finance Analyst with existing commercial FP&A experience who wants greater responsibility, senior stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to have a genuine impact on business performance.
The Role
You will provide financial analysis, commercial insight and performance reporting to help the business better understand its key revenue, margin and cost drivers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Business partnering with operational managers across multiple locations, building strong relationships and helping them understand financial performance.
- Working closely with the Finance Director, CEO and wider senior leadership team.
- Analysing revenue, profitability, margins, labour costs, productivity and other operational KPIs.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling.
- Producing monthly performance reporting, variance analysis and insightful commentary.
- Identifying trends, risks and commercial opportunities and translating these into clear recommendations.
- Building and maintaining financial models to support commercial decision-making.
- Analysing central costs and working with budget holders to improve cost control and accountability.
- Supporting analysis across other areas of the business, including products, stock, purchasing, margins and education.
- Visiting locations across the business to build relationships with operational stakeholders and develop a better understanding of performance.
- Helping drive the use of AI within finance, using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot to improve analysis, reporting and ways of working.
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years' finance experience , including existing commercial FP&A exposure.
You will ideally have:
- Previous FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Analyst experience.
- Experience within retail, hospitality, consumer or another multi-site environment .
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling experience.
- Previous experience business partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- The ability to turn financial data into clear commercial insight and recommendations.
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders ranging from operational managers through to the CEO and Finance Director.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot within your day-to-day work.
- An ambitious, commercially minded, proactive and self-starting approach.
- ACCA or CIMA studies would be advantageous, although candidates with strong relevant experience who are not currently studying will also be considered.
Package & Benefits
- £45,000-£55,000 basic salary
- 10% annual bonus

- Flexible working hours , with core office hours between 10:00am and 4:00pm
