Teacher of English - Outstanding School in Islington
Outstanding-rated Secondary School in Islington is seeking a part-time English Teacher for a fixed-term Maternity Cover contract, starting January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly supportive and successful Humanities faculty.

Responsibilities
- The English Teacher will deliver high-quality, inspiring tuition across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level) on a part-time basis.
- The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting sophisticated literary critique and advanced writing skills.
- They must actively contribute to the school's literacy provision and cultural calendar.
- The English Teacher is expected to cover all duties relevant to the fixed-term post and participate proactively in departmental planning.
Requirements
- Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has the right to work in the UK.
- Holds a Degree or has experience teaching English.
