Garment Technologist
A successful supplier in London in seeking an experienced ladieswear Garment Technologist to join their bustling offices.
Garment Technologist: The Role:
- Develop and maintain block or specification libraries for all relevant products and be responsible for fitting and sealing.
- Reviewing design specs and working with offshore offices and factories to facilitate production of development samples.
- Take responsibility for relevant critical path events and working to find solutions to problems around this.
- Responsible for all aspects of garment quality assurance and fit, from 1st fit to final sealing.
- Measuring, documenting, and assessing samples from first fit to production. Writing notes, preparing comments, grading specs and updating workbooks, sending to overseas offices and factories.
- Checking the construction and quality of the garments and advising on options and solutions for quality assurance.
- Attend fit meetings with customers.
- Managing high volume orders in an organized and timely manner.
- Daily Liaison and coordination with merchandising teams and other managers on product and development for customers.
Garment Technologist: The Person:
The ideal candidate will be
- Experienced in working across all the ladieswear product categories.
- Able to work under pressure with autonomy.
- Self-motivated.
- have excellent communication skills.
- Excellent attention to details with the ability to prioritise workload.
